Explain the difference
Human beings remain human, made with a body and rational soul and capable of free choices. Original grace and the preternatural gifts were lost; human nature is wounded, and we cannot give ourselves divine life.
Discuss: Why is “wounded, not erased” more accurate than either “nothing changed” or “human beings became evil by nature”? How does Christ answer the need for grace?
