The interpretive framework

Christ remains the center.Mary is not divine, does not originate grace, and does not replace Christ. Every Marian doctrine is subordinate to who Christ is and what Christ does.
Typology is real but disciplined. The New Testament itself reads Old Testament persons and objects typologically. A type can illuminate Mary without turning every poetic image into a literal prediction.
Honor is not worship.Scripture commands worship of God alone. Catholic veneration honors God’s work in a saint; adoration, sacrifice, and divine service belong to the Trinity alone.
Scripture excerpts are from the Revised Standard Version, Catholic Edition (RSV-CE) and are intentionally brief; use the linked passage for full context. Some Marian arguments are cumulative rather than single-verse proofs. The strongest Catholic case lets direct texts remain direct and typological texts remain typological.
