Affirming and Denying
Some Class 1 statements affirm what is true of God. Others deny created limitations. Sort each statement, then decide why a negative description can still communicate something meaningful.

Is the wording affirmative or negative?
Choose an answer.
Why does “not” teach anything?
Created things can be bounded, assembled, or subject to change. Denying such limitations of God helps us avoid mistaking Him for a larger version of a created thing. The wording still falls short of fully comprehending God.
Discuss: Choose “God is not made of parts.” What mistaken picture does it exclude? What does the sentence leave unexplained?
